Even though we are well into April, we have quite a year coming up. There is a culmination of web solutions, TeleFlow Server improvements, and applications beginning to congeal, and gradually making its way to the forefront.
Today we provided our first release of TeleFlowRelay Web Foundation. This environment is actually nearly three years old from engenic’s perspective, and radically builds on the PHP Login system originally created by the mysterious jpmaster77 (a.k.a. The Grandmaster of C++) who didn’t seem to leave any forwarding address from 2004.
TeleFlowRelay is designed to provide a means to host web sites with separate databases for each client, and manage all forms of media for each client without intermixing data. The logistics of managing data in this way turned out to be more of a challenge than we expected. However, we have built it, and have been providing this install to our clients for a couple years now.
Many up to date improvements have been added, and we have included tools and functions such as jQuery, AJAX and media conversion and transfer systems. The open source download of the application even includes a tutorial for building Web 2.0 AJAX driven applications, that does require quiet a steep learning curve to get started.
Which brings us back to the scope of the environment. TeleFlowRelay has a very simple installation procedure, which can be used for deploying web applications for many clients in the medical field for example…. or simply to try out and learn how to program a jQuery driven AJAX application.
TeleFlowRelay does not have the scope and interface intensity of Joomla, but it is something that newer PHP programmers can learn with, more advanced programmers can get a quick start with, and for everyone partaking to contribute to if they like. We have a long course of development planned, and we would quite like to see TeleFlowRelay used for other projects than just those of engenic’s. Oh, did we mention we have done things like add twitter connections into the system?
Please refer to the TeleFlowRelay Forum for features, screen shots and downloads. The wiki entry also includes the AJAX tutorial.
