Hello - Let's say I install card type 'A' in a server, and later on I need to add another card or set of cards of card type 'B'. Can I add different cards made by the same vendor? Could I have a Dialogic board as well as an NMS board in the same server, for example? Essentially, am I restricted to keeping all cards uniform in an enterprise level implementation?

You can add different cards made by the same vendor to an existing system, yes, although this may not always be the case for all time. (If a new card required the latest version of a vendor's board software, but the old card had been retired, you might have a problem. This typically happens only over the course of many years, but is something to be aware of.)

You are restricted to a single vendor's cards at the computer level. So you couldn't mix & match both Dialogic and NMS cards in the same server.
