Yes and no.

TeleFlow (automated systems in general) cannot differentiate between an answering machine and a human. However, it can provide you with a measurement of the initial voice length of the answering party. A typical person answers with "Hello", while a machine is more likely to say, "Hello, you've reached etc". If you determine anything over 2 (you may need to tweak this number) seconds to be a machine, you can "simulate" answering machine detection (which is what you get with any answering machine detection). This feature is currently only available on the NMS hardware platform.

TeleFlow can differentiate on other things as well, such as fax, busy signal, SIT, and wait X rings before giving up.
