We own a licensed version of Teleflow....the server has been running an ap for years on an old windows 2000 server.

Trying to use the "designer" on windows 7 64bit.

1. Tried http://teleflow.org/software/teleflow/i ... ow2010.exe
Started install and it gets to the screen that lists your name and computer name then click next and it sits there forever....so I canceled the install. I tried doing install again with compatibility mode win xp r3 but still doesn't work, tried run as administrator and same thing.

2. Tried http://teleflow.org/software/teleflow/i ... 010x64.msi
and the install worked.

3. Started the designer...loaded my old teleflow ap and it loads fine and I can see all the flow charts etc.

4. In the designer I clicked on simulator and at bottom of designer I see a quick line or something appear then disappear real fast- simulator won't load.

5. I close the designer and try to start the simulator on it's own and I get a "EAccessViolation.' box appear with a ok box so I click ok then it closes and simulator doesn't start. I tried running it with compatibility mode but it also didn't work, also run as administrator and didn't work.

6. Started designer - clicked create new teleflow application, select inbound template sample ap and get error "Could not load voice scripts database: TAM/VOICE.DBF database either missing or corrupt"

I need to be able to use Teleflow in windows 7 for the design part but running into the above problems. Any ideas on how to fix them?

Thanks

I can get your Simulator working again.

You've run across two bugs in the 64-bit edition of TeleFlow. First, the link in TeleFlow Designer that is supposed to launch the TFSimulator does not work. Second, the TeleFlow Simulator is not properly registered in the Windows registry.

Fortunately, there is an easy work around. Please download the following .reg file and apply it to your Windows desktop:

http://teleflow.org/software/teleflow/i ... ttings.zip

After those settings are in place, you will be able to run the TFSimulator on its own without further problems.

I'm not sure what's going on with the "create new TeleFlow Application" function. I did some experimentation with determined it is a bug wit the TeleFlow Designer. The template apps exist and you can open and edit them with TFDesigner.

As a work around, go to the templates folder directly and copy the template you want:

C:\Program Files\TeleFlow\Templates

There are 4 folders there. Each folder corresponds to one of the tabs on the Designer's "New Application" dialog box. Explore into one of the folders and you'll see the individual applications. For example, the "Inbound" simple application is stored here:

C:\Program Files\TeleFlow\Templates\New Application Template\Inbound

And so, you can copy the "Inbound" folder to a new location on your disk, and then edit it. This will work for any application under the "Templates" folder structure.

NOTE: It is very important to copy a template folder to a new location before making any changes. If you change anything under the "Templates" folder, you are changing the template itself. You will lose the original template, should you ever want to use it again, and your new application is at risk of being overwritten if you were to install a patch to TeleFlow.

Always follow this procedure:
1. copy the template folder to a new home
2. rename it to something appropriate for the application you want to build
3. edit the new application in its new home
