Hello - I'm confused that I have a port already in use. This is an outbound call generated from an XML file. Everything works fine until the call is ready to exit. Any ideas?? Please help and thanks!!!

If you already have a caller on the line - if your application has a Wait for Call so you can call into it, for example - you would get this error.

Alternatively, be sure that after each call is complete, before running the next run of your loop to see if the port should place a call, run a hang up step. This is not typically required, because TeleFlow takes care of the hang up for you. However, if the previous run of the Place Call step went down the FAIL path, it might have left the port in an off hook state that needs to be resolved. A Hang Up step should address this.

Hi Chris - Thanks for the quick response. This is an outbound call based on info provided in an XML file. I moved the Hangup event, I'm still getting the same error. I've basically modified the already provided Outbound call template.

Thanks!
Susan

Is this happening on a telephony card, or in TeleFlow Simulator?

Either way, please send a complete log of the error to support@engenic.com. (Run the application until you hit the error just once, and send the log output from that.)

Make the subject "DEVNET POST: Re: Port already in use", and the response will be in this thread.

I got it - was looking at the variable versus an actual 'hangup'. Problem solved! Thanks again.
