Typically, we create a batch file that starts all of the individual files required. We place this file in the Windows Startup folder, so that it starts with Windows.

You do need to log in for this to work, but you can automate this as well. You can automate your login using Autolog.exe. (In Windows, go to Start >> Run >> type 'Autolog' >> Click OK >> make sure 'Set Auto Logon' is selected, enter the password to login, click 'OK'. This will log the system in automatically whenever it is rebooted)

Chris, this seems to work for Win2k Workstation, but I cant seem to find Autolog.exe for Win2k Server. Is this service only on Workstation?? If so is there something else that could do the same thing for Server??

Actually autolog.exe can be moved over from the workstation to the server computer or to an NT computer.

Thanks Scott for the info. I found another solution for Windows 2000 Server, which I will post here just in case someone else is looking for the info. MS has a HOWTO page on Autologon for Server which is done with the registery. Here is the link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsof t.com:80/support/kb/articles/q310/5/84.asp&NoWebContent=1

We have set the 'TF Server service' in Windows 2000 Pro Server to 'Automatic' startup and when Windows reboots and starts up it automatically launches the TF server.
It is actually working for us but please tell us if this is OK.
Would it cause any side effects?
TF + AiLogix combination

This is fine.

Using TF + AiLogix, you might get an error when shutting down the service, but it is harmless, and you were already shutting it down anyway, so is a fairly minor issue. There is no negative (or other) 'side effect' of this. This will be addressed in a future release.
