The Nuance License Manager (NLM.EXE) isn't running. You must ensure that NLM is running, and that you have your license files and .site files set up appropriately.

Can you describe the way to run the
nlm.exe clearly, Chris. How to check
out the <nlm machine> for "lm.Addresses=<nlm machine>"?

Thanks.

To get NLM and the voice rec interpreter running, use these command prompt lines (I recommend you just put these into a batch file you can easily run whenever you wish to start them both):

start "NLM" /min C:\Nuance\v7.0.4\bin\win32\nlm.exe <LICENSE NUMBER OR FILE>

start "vocrec" /min C:\Nuance\v7.0.4\bin\win32\recserver.exe -package "C:\Program Files\TeleFlow\vocrec”

You must open nuance-resources.site file (probably located in C:\Nuance\v7.0.4\data), and change lm.Addresses= to be the name of the computer you are running everything on, or NLM won't work properly. You can edit that file with notepad.

I have run the 2 command prompt and a NLM.exe window prompted out. It shown
that a warning message as below :

WARNING: PassConfig:ReadConfigFromFile:
Ignoring invalid param lm.Addresses with <resolved> value pc12 from file
C:\Nuance\V7.0.4/data/nuance-resources.site.

The value I have put in the nuance-resources.site file is

lm.Address=pc12

The question I want to ask is how to
check out the name of the computer??

Thanks.

Depends a little on your OS, but in the properties of "My Computer", there should be either a "Computer Name" or "Network Identification" tab that should have the name.
