1. Install Natural Access 2001-1

2. Run the NMS pciscan utility
a. Open a command window, type “pciscan” at the prompt
b. Record the BUS and SLOT numbers for each board. (If you have multiple boards of different types, proceed to c, OTHERWISE, proceed to 3)
c. Incomplete at this time

3. Locate the appropriate CFG file for your NMS board. These files should be located in C:\NMS\AG\CFG, or the same path on a different drive if you installed somewhere other than the C:\ drive. (EG: If you have an AG Quad OR Dual T-1 card, locate the file called agpiqt1.cfg.)

4. Modify and rename your CFG file for the appropriate board type. (EG: If you are using agpiqt1 to configure a Dual T-1, you will have to modify it, as the file is by default set up for an AG Quad T-1. There is a section in the file labelled “For AG Quad”. Put the # sign in front of the lines that follow this label. Locate the section labelled “For AG Dual”, and remove the comments - # - from the subsequent lines. Save the file under the new name agdualt1.cfg)

5. Configure the board to run the appropriate DSP files for you application. (If you will be recording & playing files, add “rvoice.dsp voice.dsp wav.dsp” to the line starting: “DSP.C5x.DSPFiles =”)

6. Modify oamsys.cfg to run the CFG file for your board. Oamsys.cfg should be located at C:\NMS\OAM. The oamsys.cfg file contains some instructions on how to set this up. (Eg: If you are using the examples so far, do the following:
a. Set “Product = AG_Dual_T1”
b. Set Bus = and Slot = to the values recorded in step 2.b
c. Comment out – add a # sign – to the start of the line that is currently not commented in the section with a bunch of lines that say “# File = etc.”. Create a new – uncommented – line as follows: “File = agdualt1.cfg”

7. Run OAMSYS: At the command prompt, type “OAMSYS.EXE”, and press enter.

8. Refer the TeleFlow help (Start >> Programs >> TeleFlow >> Help) to get your TeleFlow Server configured and running. (Go to the section: TeleFlow Server >> TeleFlow Server Installation, click the Natural Microsystems link, and locate the section entitled “Run TFLineList” for information on configuring TeleFlow. (For additional information about TFLineList, TFConfig, And TFMonitor, check the help for these topics in TeleFlow Server >> Server Tools) Be sure to use “wnk0” as your protocol when setting up your TeleFlow Line List (TAL file).

9. NOTE: Although this document and the help tells you how to start the NMS software – OAMSYS.exe – and the TeleFlow software – tfserver.exe – it is usually best to create a simple batch file to do both at once. When you are ready to run your application in a production environment, you can place this batch file in the Windows Startup folder to start it automatically with windows.
