See Subject.

Sorry for the terseness, but that's the short and long of it.

How are you trying to establish communication between TeleFlow and MS Excel? (I.e. What step(s) are you using?)

When you use the steps you believe should work, what results/behavior are you seeing? A clipping of a log with some of the issue would probably help.

Thanks!

We have never used the Excel ODBC driver, and I suspect that you will find it more trouble than it is worth trying to figure out how to make it work for you.

However, after a little experimentation, I was able to get "some" results from an Excel workbook into my TeleFlow application. I wasn't able to figure out how to do much, but it is a start, and with further experimentation, you may get what you want.

Here is an article I used to get some data into TeleFlow:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q195951/

The key aspect seems to be the named range, as the named range is what you must name in the FROM segment of your query. I don't think you need the <BEGIN> <END> in your query, either.

Having said that, I would suggest, if at all possible, moving to a proper database and using ODBC and SQL to get data into your application. In the long run, this will work better. (especially since it appears that the ODBC driver takes exclusive access of the XLS file, which means only one port of TeleFlow could access the workbook at any one time, I believe)
