We're developing an application that requires the following.

Caller on Port 10 records a message for caller on port 15. How can we specify TF to play a "incoming message" prompt to caller on port 15 and playback the recorded message if he accepts. Note: Only caller on port 15 will hear the incoming message prompt and get the message.

Specifically, how to playback at a specific port?

Can we initiate a call switch on any 2 ports so that callers can chat live?

Thanks!

My recommendation would be to use a database table. Have port 10 write an entry into the table, and port 15 would query the table looking for any entries "addressed" to it. The same functionality could be implemented by writing and reading temporary files on disk.

Future versions of TeleFlow may implement application to application communication methods, but I do not have a date when that functionality will be available.

You can execute a TeleFlow Switch step to connect two callers together. See this thread for more information:

Switch Call?
