VoiceScriptManager

From TeleFlow

Jump to: navigation, search

The Voice Script Manager is the voice database component for TeleFlow Designer. It is slated for redevelopment, and would ideally become an open source independent application from the Designer using XML to store information about the recordings.

Using the recording buttons

A very simple Windows recording system is currently used, and should be enough to help you prototype your application. However, for a full featured sound editing environment we currently recommend Audacity.

Formats

TeleFlow has standardized on 16bit, 8000Hz, Mono Wav recordings. If you already have voice recordings, or have received them in this format, they can be converted using VoicePlayer, SoundTransform or WaveToStandard all found in the TeleFlow Programs section

File Format

Currently, Voice Script Manager stores information about the recordings in a dBase database file. This format is a hold over from when it was originally developed in 1994 and will be removed and replaced with XML exclusively in 2008 update 1.
