Image:Iv_450.gif SR VoicePass Auth
Authenticates against a biometric voice password.

With this step, you can challenge a caller to speak his or her unique voice password, and authenticate the utterance against a voice-print pattern previously created with the SR VoicePass Reg step. This process is analogous to entering a password (or PIN) with a keypad, and comparing against a stored password.

Note: Voice Password authentication is not available as a part of the standard TeleFlow Suite. You must purchase additional software to use this step.

Properties

Voice pattern filename or User ID: File name where the previously registered voice-print pattern is stored. Typically, a user's unique identifier is used as the file name to make it easier to match an ID to its associated voice-print pattern. The pattern specified will be used to match against the utterance recorded from the current caller to determine if there is a match.

Do not play start recording tone (beep): If checked, this indicates the step should not play a tone/beep just prior to recording the caller's password.

Authentication Factor: The authentication factor controls the level of consistency required to match between the caller's utterance and the voice-print pattern. The lowest setting yields the strictest control (even small inconsistencies would be detected), while the highest setting yields more lenient control (some inconsistencies and noise are ignored).

The mid-range setting (50%) is recommended for most scenarios, providing good matching accuracy while filtering out some background noise and natural inconsistencies in a person's speech.

Maximum time recordable: Sets the maximum recording time in milliseconds for the voice password utterance. The default is 4000 (4 seconds).

Action Steps

Image:Iv_940.gif True: The caller's voice and password match the biometric voice-print pattern. The caller has been authenticated.
Image:Iv_950.gif False: Either the caller's voice or the password spoken do not match the biometric voice-print pattern. The caller could not be authenticated, and should be considered unauthorized.
Image:Iv_930.gif Fail: The authentication process failed. The most likely cause is an invalid path or file name in the "Voice pattern filename" field.
Image:Iv_920.gif Timeout: Path followed if caller doesn't speak during the utterance recording.
