TeleFlow Step 0220

Turns on 'safe' reloads for the application. This means that you can restart the application with the latest updated flowchart/TAM information, or perform a safe shutdown from the TeleFlow Monitor without interrupting active calls.

The Wait for Call step automatically includes Reload On step in it. When the step exits, it includes an automatic Reload Off step. This means that all inbound/telephone answering applications will allow safe shutdowns while sitting idle. All applications should include reload on and Reload Off steps (inbound applications already have them, so you need only write them into applications with Wait for Call), placed in appropriate places in the flow that will not cause a safe shutdown or a reload to interrupt important logic, but will allow them to occur.

Special Hardware Considerations

Dialogic: The shutdown or reload will occur just after a current call ends, or when a new call is detected. It is best with Dialogic to use "Shutdown all normal" on TeleFlow Monitor when there are active calls, and as soon as they are over, use "Shutdown all abort" in order to avoid busy signals. When all lines are shut down, you can do whatever is was you wanted the reload/shutdown for.
